Interlude: A Pirate’s Birthday and Jimmy Buffett

Posted by admin on Oct 28 2008

Hey, Crew. I really didn’t expect to still be podcasting MOREVI: Remastered up to this point but seeing as I’m here, I thought I would just take a moment out to get philosophical, look back on this experience, and give a head’s up on what will be coming soon…

…and seeing as I’m voicing a pirate I should go on and dare the authorities with a fool-hearty act of defiance. If you’ve never heard Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band before, enjoy this track that seems quite poignant for today.

Happy birthday again, man! Nice post – really great to hear from you on a special day.

  2. Philippa Ballantine Says:

New Zealanders vote mere days after you, Mr Morris. And I would say to my kiwi compatriots go vote- this gives you whining rights until the next election.

  3. Philippa Ballantine Says:

A birthday is always a good time to take stock, remember what is important and plan for the future. You may not be Steven King, but your listeners and I wouldn’t want you to be. Calmer waters ahead, Captain.

  4. HTI Says:

Well than a happy and melancolic brithday to the captain. But 40 is not that bad trust me been ther done that and still around ;-)
Thanks for all the great entertainment to you and the cast

  5. Tim Dodge Says:

Thanks for a great podcast novel, and here’s hoping 2009 is kinder to you than ‘08 has been. I give you credit for finding the bright spots in what sounds like a difficult year for you. It sounds like ‘08 has been an educational year for you and the FDO — life sometimes screws up the best intentions of even experienced podcasters. Novels that you thought would be finished long ago are wrapping up now. So what? I, for one, am still enjoying the ride.

    Tim

  6. Asher Says:

    Happy belated Birthday, Tee!

Even though I’m an expat-US, I voted in the election. Of course, I also have municipal elections next week, then national elections in February, so I’m starting to OD on elections.

  7. madjo Says:

Tee, happy belated birthday and I hope that the coming year will be a much smoother ride for you.

And us fans will be here waiting anxiously for whatever you bring next. But take your time, we can wait.
